Day 1: Saturday – ARRIVAL in ROME In order to better assist our clients, if you are arriving in Rome’s International Airport you may wish to transfer to hotel on your own, or we can provide you with an pre-arranged pre scheduled private airport pick up. This service is also available to those arriving by railway. Please contact us in advance to book these services. If you are arriving in Rome in the morning, you may consider joining an excursion tour to the Vatican Museums for the afternoon. We can arrange this for you. There will be a pick ups and drop offs at your hotel for this excursion. Please check our web-site or call us for pricing for the above services. In the evening, meet with your tour escort at the hotel for a welcome drink. The tour escort/manager will brief you and give you information and instructions for the tour. Day 2: Sunday – ROME “The Eternal City” This morning you will be served a Continental buffet breakfast in your hotel before you begin a full day memorable tour of this astounding grand city. Your motor-coach and guide will pick you up at the hotel. Today’s subject; Eternal Rome: The Trevi Fountain (visit) DO NOT forget your coins! The Pantheon (visit), marvel at the technology that went into the construction of this 2000 year old structure. Piazza Navona (Square) (visit), stand in awe of this beautiful square, a haven for artists and tourists alike. Try the famous “Tartufo” gelato, invented in one of the cafés right here in the square. Imperial Rome: Coliseum (outside visit), you will stand in awe of the shadow of this tremendous monument. Roman and Imperial Forums, Capitol Hill (Campidoglio) another living masterpiece of the genius of Michelangelo. (visit). Day 3: Monday - ROME - SIENA - CHIANTI REGION - FLORENCE (2 nights) An early morning departure from Rome to SIENA, the delightful medieval city famous for the Palio. Siena is the city that stood still in time when the Black Death wiped out three quarters of its population in the 12th century. Today, you will tour this magnificent city with one of our professional local guides, Marvel at the Piazza del Campo, site of the world famous annual Palio Races. Later in the day you will leave for the Tuscan Chianti region, via the Chianti Road. You are in for a treat! A delicious wine-tasting session in a typical cellar producing some the world’s finest and preferred red Chianti and Tuscan wines in awaiting you. Continue on to Florence. Overnight. Day 4: Tuesday FLORENCE This morning after your Continental buffet breakfast (included), you will begin your guided sightseeing tour of this fascinating city with its beautiful Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistery of St. John and the Academy of Fine Arts housing the the David and “the Prisoners of the Stone” by the genius mastermind sculptor and painter Michelangelo. The rest of the day at leisure for shopping or relaxing with a glass of Tuscan wine in a sidewalk café or piazza enjoying the sights of this Renaissance birthplace. “OR” An optional sightseeing excursion to Pisa will be offered for those interested. Day 5: Wednesday FLORENCE - VERONA - VENICE (2 nights) Today after enjoying your Continental buffet breakfast (included), we begin our departure for VERONA, the romantic city of the “eternal lovers”, Romeo & Juliet. Enjoy a guided visit of this enchanting and ancient Roman city. Visit the famous balcony of these fairy tale lovers, Romeo and Juliet and then the incredibly intact Roman Arena which will remind you of the magnificent Coliseum of Rome. At the end depart to VENICE. Transfer to your hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Experience the sights and sounds of this unique city on water and walk through the narrow streets and lanes to marvel in the beauty of this incredible place. Day 6: Thursday VENICE Enjoy your Continental buffet breakfast (included), immediately following we begin our morning guided walking tour of this unique city of Canals and Gondolas to admire the astounding Piazza San Marco, the Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and the Prisons. Venice is a golden fairy tale city floating on the sea. No visit would be complete without a visit a glass factory to see the ancient Venetian art of glassblowing, an art the dates back to 200 BC. This afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the beauty and charm of the glorious and wondrous UNESCO world site. Be adventurous, take a water bus or taxi to the Lido or Giudecca across the Grand Canal. For your convenience, there will be optional excursions offered also to the Islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello or a Gondola ride, an experience of a lifetime. Overnight. Day 7: Friday Venice Today enjoy your Continental Buffet Breakfast at leisure. Your tour ends. Please advise us in advance if you will need assistance with train reservations to Rome or any other departure city. We can also make private car reservations for your transfers.
